Off to the Achensee. A girl’s trip about Sunny’s birthday.
I told you. Done.
Achensee lies north of Jenbach in Tyrol, 380m above the Inn valley. Almost 2 hours drive from my home. A stone’s throw away.
We spent the nights at the beautiful Hotel Karwendel.
Right after we arrived, we jumped into our bathing suits, put our bathrobes over the top and enjoyed the day by the Infinity Pool. Between glittering water and seemingly endless mountains you can feel the magic especially well.
In the evening we were enchanted by a 5-course menu. The fact that I am vegan was absolutely no issue at all. The menu was adapted directly. Delicious creations and unusual foods are mixed here into a feast for the entire palate.
The spa area in the Hotel Karwendel is unbelievably large & we needed a moment to find our way around.

Different relax zones with panoramic relaxation room, quiet room, waterbed lounge, sun deck with lake view, snorkelling hut, chill-out reading lounge
No one gets a bad deal here and every wish here is fulfilled.
The rooms & suites are paneled with wood – light spruce, oak & old wood – which provides a feeling of immediate security. A lot of love goes into the details here.
So if you want to make a small detour and don’t want to sit in the plane for 10 hours, I can only recommend the area around the Achensee to you favourably.
